George C. Page Museum
Between 10,000 and 40,000 years ago, animals such as saber-toothed cats and mammoths roamed the Los Angeles Basin near what is now Wilshire Boulevard. The Page Museum at the Rancho La Brea Tar Pits on Wilshire has the largest and most diverse collection of extinct Ice Age plants and animals in the world.

Parking behind the building, $6 with validation.
Admission: Free for museum members and children under 5; non-members: $7/$4.50 seniors, students, and teenagers ages 13-17/$2 children ages 5-12. Free admission for all on the first Tuesday of each month.
