Craft and Folk Art Museum
Housed in a charming French Provincial building across from the La Brea Tar Pits, the Craft and Folk Art Museum (CAFAM) is a nonprofit cultural arts organization dedicated to the public presentation and preservation of folk arts and contemporary craft. It was founded in 1965 as The Egg and The Eye restaurant and gallery, and became the Craft and Folk Art Museum in 1974. CAFAM presents exhibitions and special events focusing on folk and traditional arts, crafts, design, and the cultures of Los Angeles. By celebrating the city's rich heritage, the museum strives to encourage active learning and serves as a forum for cross-cultural exchange.
